Risk Assessment

With tailored safe travel advice, you can look forward to making the most of your trip. How we do it: Gecko 4-step risk assessment. The more we know about your travel itinerary and personal health, the better we can advise on vaccines, medication and safe travel advice. It goes without saying, all consultations are conducted in strict confidence.

Step 1: Where?

Tell us which countries and regions you are travelling to, including tourist hot spots, city, coastal, mountains and rural areas. We also want to know about your accommodation and modes of transport. Some vaccinations are country specific and recommended for all travellers, while some are compulsory and others recommended only where the risk of exposure to disease and infection are high.

Step 2: When?

When will you be travelling and for how long? Exposure to disease can vary with climate and season. Weather extremes make some travellers more susceptible to disorders such as heatstroke, dehydration and hypothermia, especially if you are taking part in strenuous activities or have underlying health issues.

Step 3: What?

What do you plan to do on your trip? Whether you are relaxing on a beach, working in an office, soaking up city life, staying with friends and relatives, going to high altitudes or trekking through a forest, we tailor advice on vaccines, medication and first aid supplies according to your activities.

Step 4: Your Health

Once we have a clear picture of your travel plans, we talk about your current health, vaccination and past medical history. We can then be sure any advice we provide on immunisation and preventative measures is the right advice for you.

Our help does not stop here. Should you need travel health advice once you are on your travels, simply send us an email with your questions and we will get back to you as quickly as possible with the advice and information you need.
